About
I’m Felix Gläske, a Platform Engineer and SRE with a comprehensive technical toolkit that spans from backend development to infrastructure automation and cloud architecture. My journey through the tech landscape has forged a problem-solver who thrives at the intersection of code and systems, bringing order to digital chaos with an artisanal approach to engineering solutions. I’m equally comfortable deep-diving into kernel logs at 3am during an outage as I am architecting elegant infrastructure as code solutions during business hours.
Services I Offer
- Backend Development – Robust, scalable services primarily in Go
- Cloud Architecture & Management – AWS, GCP, Azure optimization and implementation
- Kubernetes Orchestration – Design, deployment, and advanced troubleshooting
- Infrastructure as Code – Terraform, Pulumi, and automation pipelines
- Site Reliability Engineering – Monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems
- Technical Consulting – Strategic guidance for complex technical landscapes
I bring a hacker’s mindset to every challenge, viewing systems not as black boxes but as puzzles waiting to be understood and optimized. My value lies in my ability to seamlessly navigate the full spectrum from low-level infrastructure to high-level application architecture, eliminating the handoff friction that often exists between development and operations teams.
When you need someone who can write clean code in the morning, architect cloud infrastructure in the afternoon, and debug a production issue at midnight without missing a beat—that’s where I shine. I thrive on building resilient systems that gracefully recover from failure, because in my experience, preparation and automation are worth far more than heroics when the alerts start firing.

Experience
Senior Site Reliability Engineer
Trade Republic
Senior Site Reliability Engineer managing extensive Kubernetes deployments running on AWS cloud infrastructure. Led infrastructure-as-code efforts using Terraform, created reliable and automated CI/CD workflows leveraging GitHub Actions, and significantly reduced AWS infrastructure costs through strategic optimization strategies. Developed comprehensive observability platforms incorporating Prometheus, Grafana, and the Elasticsearch stack, greatly enhancing monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities. Actively participated in incident detection, resolution, and post-mortem analyses, maintaining uptime and reliability targets for mission-critical applications.
Technologies: AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, Go, Python, Ansible, Github Actions
Senior Consultant
Zeppelin
I collaborated with the IT department during a significant restructuring initiative, helping evaluate and optimize internal software projects. My work included assessing and improving application monitoring systems, refining alerting mechanisms, and implementing cost optimization strategies for cloud resources. Beyond the restructuring work, I assisted with troubleshooting critical incidents and resolving system issues that impacted business operations. I also contributed incremental improvements to existing applications, focusing on performance and reliability enhancements that delivered immediate business value.
Technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, Golang, Terraform, Terragrunt, AWS, ArgoCD, CircleCI
Staff Site Reliability Engineer
Tesla
At Tesla, I contributed to building an internal self-service portal similar to AWS EC2 by developing the lower-level system components. My primary contribution was creating an API wrapper around LXD that enabled the backend to efficiently create and manage virtual machines and containers. I also developed a Pulumi adapter that allowed infrastructure-as-code management of these resources. As lead developer for an inventory service, I built a system that scanned Linux machines, checked for vulnerabilities against CVE databases, and enabled remote updates. I further enhanced our infrastructure by implementing an automation system using Canonical MaaS to streamline the provisioning of bare metal servers.
Technologies: Canonical MaaS, Kubernetes, lxd/lxc, Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, Golang, Github Actions
DevOps Engineer
Zeppelin
I developed and maintained internal applications critical for monitoring and circuit-breaking existing services improving overall system resilience. Additionally, I provided ongoing maintenance and enhancements to our Kubernetes-based infrastructure. Recognizing the need for efficient workflows, I spearheaded the adoption of a GitOps-based workflow for our internal development team. Beyond development, I was also actively involved in incident response and troubleshooting. To ensure a smooth transition, I mentored two internal employees in DevOps best practices, preparing them to assume my responsibilities.

DevOps Engineer
Mindtrust
Started by managing operational tasks for an individual client project within the agency. Shortly thereafter, my role expanded significantly, encompassing operations and infrastructure support across multiple agency projects. My main objectives were cost reduction through efficient reuse of existing infrastructures and faster project deployments utilizing reusable infrastructure blueprints. By establishing standardized templates, I was able to accelerate delivery, improve operational efficiency, and substantially lower infrastructure overhead.
